Anyone who knows me understands my obsession with cleanliness. For example, I installed a whole-house water filter last September after I noticed the frighteningly large amount of particulate that I drained from my water heather. The other day I changed out the filter with a new one. Six months later, here is the result:
That's the new filter on the left in case you were wondering. Not only is the old filter visibly dirty, but it sheds sand and other particulate when I touch it. No wonder my water heater was about to commit suicide after less than four years of service.
